Northeast, with Malawi and Zambia;
East, with Zimbábwe, South Africa and E-swatine (former Swaziland);
South, with South Africa;
West, with section of Indic Ocean, called Mozambique Channel
Tropical humid, with its dry seasons from May to September. Average temperatures in Maputo (Capital) range from 13-24°C in July (Winter) to 22-31 °C in February (High Summer).
The rain season is between October and April.
