As we are well aware, since the beginning of 2020 we have been experiencing the COVID pandemic. Given this situation and taking into account the measures taken by the Government of Mozambique in accordance with the WHO guidelines, the General Coordination of the organization of the 14th Worlds of Women Congress postponed its realization to September 2021. However, with the persistence of the pandemic, it was decided to postpone sine die, in order to hold a face-to-face meeting.
The Organizing Committee of the 14th Congress “Mundos de Mulheres” as well as the various Committees created for that purpose continued to work, ensuring the analysis of the proposals for the Workshops, Oral Communication, Posters and Art and Culture and the subsequent steps.
Despite the uncertainties that still remain and the persistence of increasingly dangerous virus mutations, in general the health situation has improved in almost all countries since April 2021. For this reason, we think it is possible to reprogram the 14th Worlds of Women Congress, in person and semi-attendance, for September 2022, on a date to be agreed with the direction of the Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM).
We express our solidarity with women all over the world who are living and fighting the disease and who are, once again, and particularly in poor countries, one of the groups most affected by the impact of COVID 19.
We thank you for your understanding and continued interest in participating in and supporting the Congress and we extend our warm feminist greetings.
